Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for defining and supporting ERP-to-customer portal integration requirements within a technical development environment. This role serves as the primary liaison between ERP systems, third-party development vendors, and internal teams, ensuring accurate data flow and alignment between systems. The position focuses on documenting data structures, mapping integrations, and validating requirements to support digital platforms that enable B2B customers to place orders, view inventory, and manage invoices. This is a highly detail-oriented role requiring strong technical acumen, communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a structured development lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities



  • Gather, analyze, and document requirements related to ERP-to-portal integrations
  • Map data flows between ERP systems and customer-facing digital platforms
  • Translate business and technical requirements into actionable development tasks
  • Create and manage work items within project tracking tools
  • Serve as a liaison between ERP teams, external development partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Validate completed development work against documented requirements
  • Document ERP data structures, definitions, and system capabilities
  • Support API integrations and ensure accurate data exchange across systems
  • Collaborate within a software development lifecycle environment to support project delivery
  • Maintain clear and organized documentation of processes, workflows, and system interactions


Job Requirements



  • Experience working in a technical software development environment
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles
  • Proven ability to document system integrations and data structures
  • Deep understanding of data flow, process mapping, and system interactions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Experience with project tracking and documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies preferred
  • Experience supporting customer-facing digital platforms or portals preferred
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, including Sage X3, strongly preferred


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field preferred


Work Experience



  • Experience in business systems analysis, systems integration, or a related technical role required
