HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO OUR TEAM(Overview & Key Responsibilities):

The People and Culture Intern supports the Employee Experience team in delivering a consistent, engaging and values-driven experience across the full teammate lifecycle. This role gains hands-on exposure to talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, engagement and people operations. The Intern plays a meaningful role in keeping systems organized, supporting recruiting and onboarding activities and assisting with engagement initiatives that help teammates thrive. Through data entry, project support and coordination efforts, this role contributes to operational excellence while living out Our Values. Human Resources/Organizational Development:



  • Maintain accurate electronic teammate files and upload documentation in alignment with document control practices
  • Enter and update teammate and job code information in Connect
  • Support onboarding activities including entering candidates into Connect, processing documentation and filing required forms
  • Assist with interview scheduling, candidate communication, sourcing and dispositioning candidates
  • Conduct or support operations phone screens as needed
  • Assist with performance management processes including maintaining goal and MBO plans, adding new teammates and removing termed teammates
  • Support engagement initiatives and teammate experience events
  • Help coordinate Accelerate onboarding sessions including packet preparation, room setup and meal coordination
  • Provide administrative support for learning and development programs including LMS updates, tracking attendance and supporting course logistics
  • Support hiring events, attend job fairs and assist with student tours
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries in the People and Culture inbox with professionalism and accuracy
  • Assist with data entry, reporting requests and special projects across Employee Experience and People Operations
  • Support organization and upkeep of The Garage and other People and Culture shared spaces
  • Other administrative tasks that may not be noted on this job description



Education:



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field


Experience and/or Training:



  • Six months of administrative, customer service or related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Clear written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite


    • Previous internship or experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition or Learning and Development
    • Experience working with HRIS, applicant tracking systems or learning management systems
    • Experience supporting events or coordinating logistics
    • Strong interest in teammate engagement, performance management or talent processes



    Physical, Mental, Environmental Demands:

    This role primarily operates in an office environment with occasional time spent in warehouse or distribution settings. Extended periods of computer use, sitting or standing may be required. The position requires focus in an environment with frequent interruptions and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Occasional lifting of materials related to events or onboarding sessions may be required.

    The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is $20 hourly. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:



    1. Experience and qualifications: The depth of relevant experience and specific skills you bring to the position.
    2. Education and certifications: Any additional qualifications that enhance your ability to succeed in the role.
