Located in the heart of downtown Providence, Rhode Island, the 294-room Graduate Providence is a landmark hotel with an illustrious past. Overview

Come join Highgate for the summer in one of our dynamic internships! Our interns have the opportunity to work in multiple departments such as HR, Operations, Revenue, Marketing, and F&B. You will learn about the hospitality industry while working in a fun and fast - paced environment. Submit your resume today for consideration! START DATE OF JUNE 1, 2026 10-WEEK INTERNSHIP PROGRAM



Responsibilities

    Gain hands-on experience by supporting daily operations within assigned hotel departments such as Human Resources, Operations, Finance, Sales & Marketing, and Food & Beverage.

  • Assist department leaders with administrative tasks, projects, and operational initiatives.

  • Participate in cross-departmental learning opportunities to gain a well-rounded understanding of hotel operations.

  • Support team members in delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining brand standards.

  • Assist with organizing team member engagement activities, meetings, and events when applicable.

  • Conduct basic research, data entry, reporting, and project support as assigned by department leaders.

  • Observe and learn key hospitality management practices including guest relations, team member relations, and operational efficiency.

  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced hotel environment.

  • Attend scheduled training sessions, meetings, and development opportunities throughout the internship program.



Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in the hospitality industry.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Professional demeanor with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in the workplace.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.

  • Flexible schedule, including the ability to work some evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
