Security Officer - Commercial Building

As a Security Officer - Commercial Building in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, communicate clearly with building teams and visitors, and deliver a customer-first experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and management by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders within a commercial real estate location, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and report irregularities such as unsecured doors, suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing assistance to visitors and/or initiating notifications per site protocols.
• Complete routine reports, shift logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to on-site personnel and/or incoming officers during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
