What you will do

This is an opportunity to learn what it really means to be a Renewable Energy Developer, working for one of the largest and most respected renewable energy companies globally. Through this opportunity you will gain valuable experience and insight into the expanding renewable energy industry. You will learn what it takes to work with a team to develop, permit, market, procure, contract, engineer, schedule, budget, and construct utility-scale renewable energy projects with a focus on the western United States.



This is a paid 10-week, full time internship that will start on or around June 1, 2026, with an end date of August 7, 2026.

Role Overview:
Main responsibilities:

  • Permitting utility scale solar and energy storage projects in California
  • Organizing financial metrics for utility scale solar and energy storage projects in Washington and Oregon to help in project strategy


  • Working with interdepartmental teams to gather and review appropriate documentation for permit issuance and compliance
  • Reviewing and presenting to internal teams on project requirements during construction and operation
  • Will require strong attention to detail and organizational skills


  • Will work with GIS software to map out potential project layout and land targets
  • Summarize and consolidate potential financial offers that can be made to landowners
  • Will require critical thinking, problem solving, and organization skills

What are we looking for
Minimum Requirements:



    • Current undergraduate (Junior or Senior) or graduate student in Business (Finance), Urban/Regional Planning, Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar
    • Experience and substantive coursework in both technical and business programs

      • Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
      • Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS and Google Earth software preferred

Physical demands & working conditions:

  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
  • Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
