Description

PAY RANGE: $18-$24/hr

POSITION SUMMARY:

Safely and efficiently maintain warehouse, office, restroom and facility cleanliness, product and dunnage handling, and product repairs through the use of powered floor sweeper, material handling equipment, attachments, tools and accessories. Stock and maintain warehouse inventory & warehouse/facility(exterior and interior) cleanliness at all times ensuring the safety of yourself and others. Provide back-up assistance to Warehouse Associates by safely and efficiently staging, loading, and unloading finished products and raw materials through the use of material handling equipment, attachments, tools, and accessories.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:



  • Keep clean and maintain work area, warehouse, restrooms and interior/exterior of building. Sweep warehouse floors, doors. Keeping interior of warehouse and exterior of building clean utilizing various tools, products, and equipment.
  • Provide daily janitorial services to office, restroom, breakroom, warehouse and interior/exterior of facility as needed to ensure cleanliness, sanitation and safety.
  • Move waste & scrap into dumpsters.
  • Operate powered sweeper, hand jacks, forklifts and attachments safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate with operators from other shifts, department manager and other team members regularly.
  • Move products into warehouse inventory storage.
  • Assists with quality control and damaged products.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
  • As needed, completes damage reports, product, wrapping, pallet, bundle, crate, etc.
  • As needed, package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
  • As needed, stage finished product for loading.
  • Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
  • Maintain thankful, respectful, polite, and courteous attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:



  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift & sweeper certification and applicable state certification for forklifts.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
  • Ability to function in a high volume, fast paced environment and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive, team centric attitude.
