Job Title: Senior Inside Parts Sales Representative

Location: Eagan, Minnesota

Interstate Companies is seeking a Senior Inside Parts Sales Representative to join our Central Parts Sales Team at our Corporate Headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota.

Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00 (Depending on Experience)

This role is designed for a highly experienced sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated to drive revenue growth through proactive customer engagement, strategic account development, and consultative selling.

The ideal candidate brings strong industry knowledge, a proven sales track record, and the ability to manage complex customer relationships while identifying opportunities to grow parts sales across our regional network. This position is not simply reactive order taking - we are looking for a high-performing sales professional who takes ownership of customer relationships, develops new opportunities, and consistently delivers results.

As a senior member of the Central Parts Sales Team, you will support overflow Parts Department inquiries from across our entire region while also proactively identifying growth opportunities with existing and prospective customers. The ability to manage multiple priorities and customers simultaneously is essential.

This position requires strong product knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to utilize consultative selling and negotiation techniques to expand customer accounts and increase market share.

Responsibilities



  • Serve as a senior sales resource within the Central Parts Sales Team, supporting complex customer inquiries and high-value accounts.
  • Manage inbound customer inquiries related to parts availability, product lines, and technical sales support.
  • Proactively conduct outbound sales calls to existing, inactive, and prospective customers to generate new revenue opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts while identifying opportunities to expand product usage and increase sales volume.
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to recommend appropriate products, alternative solutions, and value-added offerings.
  • Identify and present upsell and cross-sell opportunities across Interstate's full product portfolio.
  • Assist customers with product substitutions, availability solutions, and pricing guidance when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activity within CRM systems.
  • Track and manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance metrics while actively working toward established sales goals.
  • Collaborate with regional branches and internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service and efficient order fulfillment.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the Central Parts Sales Team, including refining sales processes and best practices.
  • Deliver professional, responsive, and solution-oriented customer service in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications



  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education or technical training preferred.
  • 5+ years of inside sales experience, preferably in parts, heavy equipment, trucking, diesel, industrial distribution, or related industries.
  • Prior experience working with parts counters, distribution sales, or technical product sales strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency including CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Positive, professional attitude with a strong commitment to customer service.
