Principal Product Specialist (Datagrid)

Procore
United States, Texas, Austin
221 West 6th Street (Show on map)
Mar 17, 2026

Forget everything you know about AI assistants. In Procore's Datagrid division, we're building AI agents that actually do the work. We're a team of passionate, hard-working builders, thinkers, and problem-solvers who are genuinely excited about what we do. Our mission is to supercharge the workday by turning complex data and tedious workflows into simple, automated actions.

It's an incredibly exciting time to join us-we're growing fast, expanding our platform's capabilities, and partnering with enterprise customers who want to 10x their teams' output. We thrive on collaboration and are looking for people who are ready to make a tangible impact. If you want to be part of a team that's not just talking about the future of AI but actively creating it, you've come to the right place.

This position reports to the Head of Customer Success and will be based in Austin, TX.

What you'll do:

  • Translate Field Needs into Executable AI Workflows: Convert complex, multi-step construction processes (e.g., Change Orders, P6 Schedule analysis, Safety Compliance checks) into logical, automated workflows that our AI Agents can execute from end to end.

  • Be The Bridge Between the Jobsite and the Office: Act as the primary liaison between our Engineering team and our customers. Your deep industry knowledge will ensure our AI Agents thrive in the dust and dynamism of a $500M project.

  • Define AI Guardrails for Trust and Precision: Use your subject matter expertise to establish the operational boundaries for our AI Agents, ensuring every action respects OSHA standards, local building codes, and AIA contract stipulations.

  • Lead Strategic Agent Deployment: Spearhead the implementation of Datagrid AI Agents with key construction clients, guiding them to deploy a "digital workforce" that automates entire workflows across their existing tools like Procore and Autodesk.

  • Champion AI in Construction: Represent Datagrid at major industry events like Procore Groundbreak and Autodesk University, demonstrating how our AI Agents are a "force multiplier" that 10x team output.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in Construction Management, VDC, or as a Project Executive/Superintendent.

  • Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of the CSI MasterFormat, AIA contract documents, and the complete lifecycle of a build-from bid to closeout.

  • Tech Savvy: A power user of platforms like Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or Bluebeam. You understand how data flows through these systems and where the bottlenecks are.

  • Communication: You can command a room of skeptical Project Executives, clearly explaining why an AI Agent that connects to their existing tools is the key to unlocking unprecedented efficiency.

Success metrics:

  • Time-to-Value: How quickly can a new General Contractor see a measurable reduction in manual RFI processing and submittal review times?

  • Accuracy & Precision: Ensuring the outputs and actions of our AI Agents consistently meet the rigorous standards of professional engineers and architects.

  • Product Adoption & Expansion: Moving customers from "testing" a single agent to deploying a full "digital workforce" across their entire project portfolio.
