The Financial Management Solution Consultant possesses advanced/expert level knowledge of the modules and capabilities included within Infor's Financial Management applications.

As a member of the sales account team, the Financial Management Solution Consultant is primarily responsible for supporting the sales account strategy and interacting with prospective customers through a variety of sales cycle activities, including: Request for Proposal processes and responses, discovery sessions, executive overviews, scripted and non-scripted solution demonstrations, software labs, follow-up discussions and post-demonstration surveys. You may also be asked to participate in value engineering engagements, trade shows, Inforum (Infor's annual users conference), and other customer-facing activities.

As a Financial Management Solution Consultant, you will typically work alongside colleagues from sales management, the Public Sector and Services sales team, Product Marketing, the Industry Business Unit, Alliances, and Value Engineering, as well as, with non-Infor consulting partners.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Prepare professional responses to Requests for Proposals for each assigned functional area.
  • Prepare and deliver superior and compelling sales presentations covering all aspects of Infor's Financial Management applications to prospective customers and prospects in the Public Sector and Services industries.
  • Develop configuring demonstration data to meet the specific needs and script requirements of prospective customers and to showcase the business value of Infor solutions;
  • Understand and configure the technology required to support each demonstration;
  • Conduct discovery sessions with the prospective customer.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest enhancements and innovations within the assigned Infor solutions. Attend on-going solution training as scheduled.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and changes in the regulatory landscape.
  • Maintain a general knowledge and appreciation of competitive solutions. Know how to articulate Infor solution differentiators and value propositions while providing proof points with relevant Infor customer success stories.
  • Provide solution consulting support in scheduled marketing events, trade shows and conferences.
  • Participate in demo system design and planning and assist with demo data configuration as needed.
  • Participate in new product release input and testing. Deliver training and knowledge transfer to colleagues when requested.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel ~40%.
  • Experience demonstrating and/or selling software applications to public sector customers.
  • Experience working with Public Sector business processes, practices, and workflows (e.g., Budget Planning, Fund Accounting, Grant and Asset Management, etc.).
  • Experience working with cloud-based software deployments and SaaS service agreements.
  • Experience in pre-sales consulting or implementation.
  • Experience developing and delivering sales presentations to all stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Infor applications and technology or experience with similar ERP solutions.
  • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting, business management or other relevant disciplines.
