The American Red Cross is seeking a highly adaptable and mission-driven Restoring Family Links Training Manager. (RFL) This is a virtual role with no relocation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Manage program to ensure that implementation and defined activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives. Plan, design, and implement programs and services in assigned program area. Monitor and analyze program activity and identify areas for improvement. May perform activities that support funding and proposal initiatives. Provide support, development, and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD

1: Perform activities relating to the implementation, evaluation, design and management of program or service. Perform administrative, fiscal and inventory duties as needed to support program operations.

2: Monitor program activities and develops status reports for management review.

3: Collect and analyze data, identify areas of need and/or improvement, and develop recommendations for program improvement.

4: Administer processes within assigned program area. Analyze operating practices and recommend revisions to improve established procedures.

5: May perform activities that support funding and proposal initiatives.6: Develop and cultivate professional relationships with key internal & external partners/organizations

Scope: Individual contributor that is fully proficient in applying subject matter knowledge; knowledge based acquired from several years of experience in particular area. Work independently and may instructor coach other professionals.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

Management Experience: N/A

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in adult learning theory and instructional design models, including ADDIE and UBD
  • Working experience in Captivate, and Camtasia
  • Experience developing on-line and in person curriculum
  • Identifying and developing training interventions based on gap analysis

Skills & Abilities: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of program or service and ability in creating presentations and developing training modules. Excellent oral and communication skills, including training and presentations. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Develop project plans, budgets, and strategies to achieve organizational goals. Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills to develop creative processes for continuous program or service improvements. Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to work on a team.

Travel: Travel may be required.

PAY INFORMATION

The salary range for this position is (Washington, DC): $89,040 - $94,944.

Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.

* Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

Physical Requirements: Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.
