Fitters will need to read drawings and fit together fabrications that can be small to several thousand pounds. Needs to have welding skills as well; hardwire and/or metalcore. Use of overhead and jib cranes as well as forklift experience is important. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements. Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise. Qualifications Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. It is critical to have good attendance and approach each day with a positive attitude, respecting their co-workers, keeping clean/organized workspace. All the parts we produce are "critical" items that if the welds fail people can be injured or worse. Quality of workmanship is critical as well as safety.
