Job Description

This is a full-time,**3 month** internship, with an anticipated start date on May 26, 2026.

Nature of work:

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);

This role focuses on the design, execution, and analysis of experiments related to membrane testing and performance as well as supporting membrane formulation and fabrication. The primary responsibility is to rigorously assess the functionality and characteristics of membranes, interpret the resulting data, and leverage insights to inform development and optimization efforts.

  • Conduct hands-on membrane testing in laboratory: This role will be trained to operate and maintain laboratory membrane testing platforms.
  • Accurately record and document experimental data, ensuring compliance with established quality control standards; Perform thorough analysis of experimental data, utilizing statistical tools and software to identify trends, correlations, and key performance indicators.
  • Design and develop experimental setups and testing protocols to evaluate membrane performance to support membrane formulation and fabrication.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to membrane performance, experimental setup, or data acquisition.
  • Present research findings to internal teams, collaborators, and stakeholders, including both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including R&D researchers, engineers, etc.
Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) program (Chemical, Environmental, Industrial, or Mechanical) or a Chemistry Bachelor of Science (BSc) program. Consideration will also be given to other science-based technical programs and degrees.

Skills:

  • Relevant experience or solid understanding in separation technology and/or chromatography
  • Aptitude for learning: ability to quickly grasp new concepts and learn new techniques
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Teamwork and communication skills
