Job Title: Accounting Clerk Location: Roseland, NJ 07068 Pay Rate: $22.31/hr. on W2 without benefits Duration: 3+ months Work Hours: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Interview Mode: TBD Job Description: Equipment to be used by the temporary staffing professional(s) : Computer Computer software to be used: Edmunds Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience. Experience in general bookkeeping principles, techniques, and procedures is a plus. Must have computer skills, problem-solving, and strong communication skills. Mandatory skills/certification(s) Requirement: Desired skills: Role & Responsibilities: Receives incoming mail, sorts, and distributes. Verifies and posts all accounts receivable through the cash register (Taxes, Water/Sewer, and all misc. receipts from all departments. Posts daily cash receipts to appropriate journals and files. Assists Residents at Counter. Verify and balance monthly cash receipts reports for all departments. Maintains the computer system for taxes, owners' names, addresses, and bank codes Verifies updates and calculates water/sewer bills. Prepare and mail water/sewer bills quarterly. Prepare quarterly reports for State Water Tax. Maintains Water/Sewer files as they pertain to billings. -Calculate all Final Water/Sewer bills. Prepares Quarterly Shut-off Notices and keeps accurate records Answers all calls related to taxes and water/sewer. Issues duplicate bills and tax printouts for tax search companies. Prepares Annual PTR Forms for residents. Prepares and mails Delinquent Tax and Water Sewer Notices. Verifies Certification of paid property taxes for the 200-foot list. Assist Tax Collector with Tax Sale.
