The Assurance Strategy Execution Director is a strategic role responsible for managing and streamlining strategy and operations for the Canadian assurance leadership team, ensuring the Canadian Assurance Leader can focus on the line of business's long-term vision and key priorities. This role acts as a trusted advisor to the Canadian Assurance Leader and liaison to the Enterprise assurance leadership team.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic Support:

  • Work closely with the Canadian Assurance Leader to organize and execute operational and strategic goals
  • Manage priorities for the Canadian assurance leadership team and ensure alignment to and execution of the firm's vision and Enterprise Assurance Leader goals
  • Provide insights on key business issues and opportunities for improvement
  • Develops appropriate metrics to inform stakeholders regarding progress made.

Project Management:

  • Lead or oversee critical assurance line of business projects and initiatives, ensuring they align with strategic objectives and are delivered on time and within budget
  • Manage complex, cross-functional projects that require coordination between various departments

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Serve as a liaison between the Canadian Assurance Leader and other senior executives, employees, board members, or external stakeholders
  • Prepare materials, presentations, and reports for key meetings
  • Creates and develops content and agendas, and coordinates efforts. Ensures meetings are run effectively and efficiently, tracking and following-up on action items. Manages meeting formats, obtains feedback on the meeting experience, and modifies as needed in partnership with the Enterprise assurance leader and assurance leadership team.
  • Serves as central contact and works with key business partners including Talent, Finance, CMG, Office of Risk Management, to ensure the assurance line of business is proactively addressing any issues/concerns identified.

Problem Solving

  • Address and resolve issues that arise within the line of business, often before they reach the Canadian Assurance Leader
  • Assist in data analysis and decision-making by gathering key metrics and providing insights on performance, trends, and market conditions
  • Support the Canadian Assurance Leader in preparing for key decisions, particularly when they involve complex or high-stakes issues
  • Act as a go-to resource as needs arise, helping the Canadian Assurance Leader address urgent issues, and make fast, well-informed decisions
  • Provide hands-on support to transform ideas into reality and monitor progress

Skills and Competencies

  • Project Management: Experience managing large, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong Communication: Capable of distilling complex ideas and making them accessible to different stakeholders.

  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional at managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Leadership & Influence: Ability to motivate and influence others, even without direct authority.

Required

  • Education: Bachelors Degree
  • 7+ years experience within a professional services environment
  • 3+ years leadership experience

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $147,000 - $260,700

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
