Per Diem - New Graduate Registered Nurse

• Providing constant safety observation for a patient identified to be at risk to themselves, others and/or are in need of protective services in collaboration with the assigned staff nurse (Registered Nurse) in accordance with the individualized needs of the patient. This includes:
  • Observing patients for changes in behavior and /or condition in accordance with the Suicide Precautions Guidelines, and reports pertinent information to the patient assigned RN
  • Providing basic direct care to patients in collaboration with the staff nurse (Registered Nurse) assigned to the patient by assisting patients with feeding and hygiene; obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature, pulse and blood pressure and other delegated duties according to specific needs of unit and aligned with the per diem staff nurse competencies.
• Floating to Emergency Department to assist Triage RN with vital signs, escort patients to treatment locations.
• Floating to Vaccine Clinic to assist with Flu and other vaccines.
• Ability to work 4 shifts in a 6-week schedule block 8- or 12-hour rotating shifts with weekend/holiday requirement.

• Must obtain a MA RN License.

• Massachusetts RN Licensure

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
