Job Description

The Resolute Application Manager provides day-to-day leadership for the Epic Resolute Professional Billing (PB) application team, ensuring the system fully supports Quest Diagnostics' revenue cycle, operational, and financial goals. This role is responsible for guiding the team that configures, maintains, and optimizes our critical billing systems. Reporting to the Leader of Epic Resolute, this manager will translate strategic business needs into technical execution. The core focus is on maximizing team performance, ensuring the quality and integrity of all system builds, and delivering an optimized, high-quality billing experience.

Please note this is a hybrid opportunity (3 days in office & 2 days WFH). The position is based in: Secaucus, NJ or Schaumburg,IL

Pay Range: $158,000 - $184,000 / year



Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a high-performing team of Epic Resolute Analysts
  • Set clear goals and accountability metrics; provide coaching and feedback to develop the team's technical and professional capabilities
  • Conduct performance reviews, define individual development plans, and cultivate a pipeline for future Resolute team leadership
  • Oversee the portfolio of all revenue cycle projects, from small optimizations to large-scale implementations, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
  • Implement and manage a project governance framework to standardize project intake, prioritization, and status reporting
  • Guide the team in risk mitigation, issue resolution, and effective stakeholder communication to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
  • Review and approve complex system builds to guarantee data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and system stability
  • Direct the team to provide robust, actionable analytics that identify root causes of operational issues (e.g., denial trends, revenue leakage, workflow inefficiencies)
  • Serve as a key escalation point for complex Epic PB issues, performing root cause analysis and driving resolution
  • Ensure analytical findings are translated into concrete recommendations and business cases for process improvement projects
  • Establish and enforce configuration governance and change-management standards to ensure system integrity
  • Partner with leadership to execute the strategic vision for Resolute, translating high-level goals into actionable team projects
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Finance, Revenue Cycle Operations, and IT to ensure Resolute is scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise goals
  • Create a culture focused on optimization of Epic Resolute
  • Manage upgrades to ensure stability, security and business continuity



Qualifications:

Required:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle including Epic Resolute, configuration, implementation and support
  • 4+ years in a management capacity
  • Deep understanding of Resolute PB workflows, including charge router, claims, remittance and payment posting
  • Experience in large scale project management and data analysis within healthcare environment
  • Proven experience in creating a high performing team
  • Experience establishing and operating governance frameworks for large-scale Epic deployments or complex billing platforms
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CMS and commercial payer compliance requirements applicable to laboratory services

Preferred:

  • Experience leveraging automation, RPA, or AI to modernize billing operations
  • Background in continuous improvement methodologies e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Agile
  • Experience with data visualization tools e.g. Tableau, Power BI
  • Cross-certification in other Epic modules

People Leader Responsibility:

  • Team of Analysts in PB and Claims

Work Environment:

  • Work requires handling light and simple weight material and equipment.Visual activity requires the ability to tolerate prolonged periods of close computer screens. Work requires speed, accuracy and adeptness to operate in system application. Fast-paced work environment. After hours, weekend and holiday work will occasionally be required as determined by the Application Mgr to support software/hardware patches, upgrades, downtimes and potential disasters.

Travel Required.

Education:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or a related field. (Required)
  • Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field. (Preferred)
  • Epic Resolute; project management certification (Required)
  • Certifications across Epic modules (Preferred)
    • Beaker, MyChart, Aura, Prelude Registration, Cadence Scheduling, EpicCare Ambulatory for Genetic Counseling, Cheers Call Management & Campaigns, EpicCare Link Portal, Nebula Cloud Platform, Base Payer Platform Network for Providers,and Gallery DMS.
