Position Summary The University of Minnesota Libraries seeks an individual as a Project Archivist to process human rights related collections located in the University of Minnesota Archives and the Social Welfare History Archives. The position reports to the University Archivist. The Project Archivist will work under moderate supervision to organize and describe archival collections guided by departmental procedures and professional standards. The Project Archivist will employ a processing methodology to allow for flexibility to conduct more detailed description when appropriate. Project completion will produce descriptions for each collection by creating standards-based online finding aids using the archival information management tool ArchivesSpace. This is a temporarily funded position for the University of Minnesota Archives. This project has been financed in part by the people of Minnesota through a grant funded by an appropriation to the Minnesota Historical Society from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. This position will require work to be done primarily on-site. Responsibilities Archival Processing (70%)
