THE POSITION

Bring your leadership skills and graphic design experience to the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs! We are seeking a skilled print production professional to join our team in the Division of Support Services as a Print/Mail Production Supervisor. In this role, you will lead and manage the full-service Reproduction Section supporting the Pennsylvania Army and Air National Guard and six veterans' homes. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will direct and manage the operations of the Support Services Reproduction Section. Your work will involve overseeing various production duties involving the production, packaging, and shipping of time-sensitive publications. You will supervise the staff participating in the production of forms, letters, reports, booklets, pamphlets, brochures, business cards, programs, posters, maps and other single-color and multi-color publications. Some of your duties will include performing specialized work in layout and design of publications, meeting with customers to determine project objectives, and managing all daily activities. Additionally, you will provide input for billing and maintain all print shop records.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in the operation of print or mail insertion equipment or similar machinery used in a print or mail production facility; or
  • One year as a Print Production Technician; (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year as a Mail Production Team Leader; (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
  • You must have at least one year of graphic design experience.
  • You must have experience in design and/or working with the Adobe suite within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Have experience in digital press production printing within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Have experience in mail and/or packaging requirements and regulations
  • Have experience with supervisory oversight of employees
  • Have experience with purchasing regulations and requirements within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • Be able to lift at least 60 pounds
