As a Security Officer - Visitor Check-In in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and driver check-ins, and conduct routine patrols to help identify security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate clearly with team members and site leadership, and deliver customer service with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific access control policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or shipping schedules, issuing visitor credentials, and directing drivers to designated areas.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems to help identify unusual activity, then document observations and notify site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with traffic flow, loading dock disruptions, medical calls, and other operational interruptions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility interior, perimeter, and parking areas, and complete written and/or electronic logs, reports, and required shift documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 2+ years of security experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
