Security Officer - Full Time Airport Unarmed

As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Full Time - Afternoon

Pay Rate: $19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees and/or travelers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways and/or perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Support access control by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials when directed, and/or guiding people through controlled areas in accordance with post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with site authorities and/or requesting additional resources as needed.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner, and communicate observations that may help to deter unwanted activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Being able to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Having customer service experience is preferred.
• Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
