ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • As our Rooms Supervisor, you will be working with our front office & housekeeping teams providing guidance and leadership to associates and ensuring consistent quality customer service is delivered, inspect the cleaning of the guest rooms, turndown service, public areas and heart of the house; ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to, and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide.
  • Promptly complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system, confirming pertinent information including number of guests and room rate.
  • Promote Crescent and brand specific marketing programs.
  • Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guest needs.
  • Code electronic keys.
  • Nonverbally confirm the room number and rate.
  • Provide welcome folders containing room keys, and certificates as appropriate.
  • Close out guest accounts at time of check out.
  • In the event of dissatisfaction, negotiate compromise, which may include authorizing revenue allowances.
  • Train, discipline, and monitor performance of team members.
  • Supervise the rooms staff; providing open communication, training, coaching and counseling and providing performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Supervise and inspect the cleaning of the guest rooms, turndown service, public areas and heart of the house; ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Issue assignments to team members reviewing special requests and areas of concentration to ensure a smooth flow of the housekeeping operation.
  • Issue supplies/goods to staff at beginning of shift in order to control inventory and ensure proper supplies are available while controlling expenses.
  • Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Log items into the Lost and Found and answer inquires to maintain controls and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Implement emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel, guests, staff and company assets.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Clean guestrooms when necessary.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.


REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:



  • One year rooms supervisor (or equivalent) experience is preferred.
  • Marriott brand, service, and systems experience is highly preferred.
  • Requires standing and continual mobility throughout rooms area.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus.
  • Available to work flexible schedule on a regular basis.
