What We Do The Internal Auditor supports the planning and execution of complex internal audits in accordance with the Internal Audit framework and industry standards. This role partners with business stakeholders to identify risks, analyze issues, document audit procedures and findings, and develop clear and actionable recommendations to improve controls, processes, and operational effectiveness. The Internal Auditor contributes to audit reporting, remediation testing, data analytics, and special process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical, communication, and investigative skills, experience in auditing preferably within the financial services industry, and an interest in continuous improvement and professional development, including certifications and travel opportunities.

What You'll Do:

  • Assistsin preparing, planning, conducting complex auditsin accordance withdeveloped Internal Audit framework and industry standards (i.e., Institute of Internal Auditors) as well as providessuggestions to enhance theinternalaudit process
  • Identify/ research issues withsupported analysis, proposesolutions
  • Prepare clear documentation supporting audit work performed and conclusions reached as well as ensure workpaperscomply withinternal audit standards
  • Assistswith special projects including process improvementinitiatives
  • Contribute to / Prepare initial draft ofaudit reports
  • Prepare meaningful audit recommendations for the operation being audited
  • Incorporate data analysis in workpaper evidence and final reports
  • Participate in testing of remediation of observations noted within audit reports

What You'll Bring:

  • BA/BS in accounting, business administration, computer science, or arelated field
  • 2-4 years of experience in auditing, accounting; knowledge andexpertisein financial services industry, preferably in insurance, banking, real estate mortgage servicesispreferred
  • Knowledge ofoperational auditing, business process improvement, or re- engineering experienceor knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal and communicationskills, including ability to articulate briefly and concisely
  • Strong analytical, audit, and investigativeskills
  • Proficiencywith data analytics tools(Power BI,etc.)anddeveloping/executing SQL queries is a plus
  • Understanding of basic programming concepts, experience creating Excel macros or Visual Basic scripts is a plus
  • Available for internationalas well aslocal travelup to approximately25%
  • Having or working towardsany ofthe following certifications (CPA, CA, CIA,CISAand/or CFE) is a plus
