CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Electric Distribution Engineer I to join our Electric Distribution Team at a client site in Hopedale, MA. In this entry level role, you'll gain hands on experience supporting the planning, design, and implementation of electric distribution projects-while learning from experienced professionals and building a strong foundation for your engineering career.



What You'll Do:

    Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for electric distribution infrastructure including overhead and underground systems
  • Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates for grid resiliency and energy transition projects
  • Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for optimizing energy delivery
  • Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment, planning, and rehabilitation of electric distribution systems


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required
  • No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework are preferred
  • Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team
  • Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $75,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
