Job Description Automated Systems Distribution Technician Position location is flexible and may office from any DC/HUB in the USA Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00am - 4:30pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Automated Systems Distribution Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the overall health of our automated systems in our North American distribution centers. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Completing on site activities and tasks related to scheduling preventative maintenance o Overseeing completion of preventative maintenance as required o Assisting in managing Fastenal's preventative maintenance software o Participating in onsite inspections across Fastenal's distribution network o Identifying and resolving system issues across Fastenal's automated systems o Communicating critical information related to automated systems to regional distribution centers o Analyzing data related to the automated systems in order to identify trends and put corrective action plans in place to reduce system downtime o Assisting with training employees on troubleshooting and preventative maintenance processes o Ensuring short term and long term goals are met REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements o Possess experience working with automated warehouse systems o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite o Highly self motivated, self directed and customer service oriented o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Willingness to stand for long periods of time o Willingness to travel frequently to our Distribution Centers across North America, including both USA and Canada o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Prior leadership experience ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers. FULL-TIME BENEFITS: Fastenal offers a competitive benefits package to all full-time employees. COMPENSATION: The base pay range for this position is $55,000 - 65,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission. | |
