Position Summary Under limited supervision of the Advising Center Director, provides professional-level coordination and oversight of Early Alert initiatives and the declaration of major workflow. Ensures the accuracy and integrity of departmental contacts, including department chairs and faculty advisors, while exercising independent judgment in the administration, monitoring, and continuous improvement of related processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive oversight and strategic support for at-risk and conditionally admitted students by reviewing academic progress, responding to early alert notifications, and coordinating appropriate interventions to promote retention and student success.
- Guide students in utilizing DegreeWorks (electronic degree evaluation) to understand degree requirements and develop informed academic plans; serve as a relief academic advisor as needed.
- Serve as a resource to faculty and students regarding degree requirements within the catalog of record for students utilizing the online degree evaluation system.
- Coordinate the assignment of faculty advisors for undergraduate students to ensure timely and accurate advising support
- Oversee the administration of advising center holds. Update department chairs and faculty advisors in the declaration of major workflow contact crosswalk.
- Manage the entry and maintenance of declared majors and minors in Banner to ensure accuracy of academic records.
- Review, analyze, and resolve major exception reports; utilize Workflow, Argos, and related systems to complete departmental reporting and projects.
- Collaborate with Information Technology Systems (ITS) and other departments to ensure the accuracy and integrity of admissions and curriculum records.
- Partner with ITS to identify, troubleshoot, and implement solutions related to workflow processes and student information systems.
- Work closely with the Registrar's Office to resolve discrepancies related to declaration of major forms, Banner records, missing attributes, and document formatting issues.
- Regular and predictable attendance required.
- Performs other job-related duties and projects assigned in support of the University's mission, core values, and goals.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience, and a minimum of one year of experience in data management processes and procedures is required.
- Experience interacting with students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to learn and follow university, office management, data management processes, policies, methods, and procedures.
- Knowledge of the policies, curricula, course disciplines, educational units, educational history, and academic structure of the University.
- Knowledge of computerized student information systems.
- Knowledge of current technologies and word processing, databases, presentation, and spreadsheet software, specifically Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of the proper operation of and the ability to use personal computers and standard office equipment.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work professionally and effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Ability to multitask and organize, prioritize, and follow multiple projects and tasks through to completion with an attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to the team environment, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with administrators, supervisors, faculty, other department staff, and students.

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
- Work is generally performed inside a non-smoking facility, during normal business hours. Some weekend and evening hours may be required.
- Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a consistent amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Position requires continuous to frequent handling of paper materials
