Job Overview: Step into our Roots Blower group, a longstanding cornerstone of Connersville, IN, as our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist. This role will be a key driver of regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and environmental stewardship within a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will help lead the development and continuous improvement of safety and environmental programs that protect employees, ensure OSHA and EPA compliance, and strengthen a proactive safety culture across the site. We seek a candidate who preferably brings a degree in EHS or a related field and a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other safety certification. Critical to this role is deep environmental regulatory expertise combined with hands-on manufacturing experience. You will serve as the subject matter expert in environmental compliance - including reporting, permitting, chemical management, and regulatory audits - while also leading incident investigations, data-driven risk mitigation initiatives, compliance gap assessments, and employee engagement efforts. Success in this position requires strong communication skills and the ability to analyze complex EHS data, translate regulatory requirements into practical site-level solutions, collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing and engineering teams, and effectively influence leaders and frontline employees. This role plays a vital part in ensuring safe operations, environmental responsibility, and operational excellence at our Connersville facility.
