Location: Ocala, Florida
Schedule: Monday-Friday | No nights, weekends, or holidays

Monday - Friday (100% full time) or, one weekday OFF (80% full time) schedule available.

As a Staff Physician, you will provide comprehensive occupational health services to a diverse patient population, focusing on injury care, work-related physicals, preventive health initiatives, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Perform occupational health examinations, including pre-employment physicals, DOT physicals (if certified), fitness-for-duty assessments, and return-to-work evaluations.
  • Review and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, labs, and pulmonary function tests.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans consistent with occupational medicine best practices and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with nurses, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and administrative staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
  • Communicate with employers regarding work restrictions, accommodation recommendations, and recovery timelines while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to optimizing clinic workflow and patient experience.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Stay current on industry regulations, including OSHA standards, workers' compensation requirements, and evidence-based occupational health guidelines.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine (with occupational health experience preferred).
  • Active and unrestricted Florida medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • DOT Medical Examiner certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage both acute injuries and chronic occupational health conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care and collaborative teamwork.
