Job Description




As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Facility in Sterling Heights, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at an aero and defense location, you will be the communication hub for security-related operations, monitoring systems and activity, coordinating officer response, and maintaining clear radio and phone communications. You will help support routine patrol coverage, document incidents, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aero and defense location.
  • Receive calls, alarms, radio traffic, and/or electronic notifications, prioritize requests for service, and dispatch Security Professionals and/or appropriate responders according to post orders and escalation guidelines.
  • Monitor access control systems, CCTV, fire and intrusion panels, and/or other security-related systems, and communicate updates to on-site teams while helping to maintain accurate logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying supervision and/or client representatives as required by site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production areas, and the perimeter when assigned, reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through established reporting channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
