Job Summary

Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedules | Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles | Provides financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing variations from budget | Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements and reports | Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects

  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors
  • Problem solving is guided by policies and procedures; receives guidance and oversight from manager
  • Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment


Essential Functions

  • Manages accounting staff in daily operations of one or more accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledger maintenance, revenue, and asset accounting.
  • Oversees calculating, posting, and verification of financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records.
  • Ensures all analysis and reporting are accurate and prepared in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Establishes and implements productivity and quality standards.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions with concurrence from the HR Directors & General Managers.



Required Qualifications

  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Business, Finance or Accounting degree preferred.
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Account Reconciliation. Accounting Management. Accounts Payable. Balance Sheet Analysis. Bank Reconciliation. Financial Accounting. Financial Reporting. General Ledger Accounting. Project Management. Revenue Recognition. GAAP Standards. Accounting Software. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Recognized accounting qualification, CPA or equivalent. Experience in manufacturing industry.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.


Travel Requirements

No or very little travel likely.
