Hanger, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our General Ledger Accounting team at the Alpharetta, GA location. This critical role supports the full lifecycle of general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in accounting, strong analytical capabilities, and a commitment to operational excellence.



Your Impact

    Serve as the subject matter expert for general ledger accounting activities across the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to specific GL accounts, close activities, and accounting processes.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including accruals, intercompany, and other key accounts.
  • Generate and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to support decision making for finance and operations teams.
  • Lead variance analysis on relevant income statement and balance sheet accounts, identifying trends and resolving discrepancies.
  • Coordinate and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure proper account balancing.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to research and resolve AP accrual discrepancies.
  • Support the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and IT teams to drive process improvements.
  • Support ERP system enhancements and ensure data integrity within inventory modules.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX requirements, and internal accounting policies.
  • Provide clear, organized documentation and serve as a key point of contact for internal and external audits.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, (with 2 years in general ledger or corporate accounting within a manufacturing or distribution environment - preferred)
  • Experience with large-scale ERP systems; Oracle Fusion preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong data analysis skills.
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
