Job Designation

The Engineer Intern will be given projects throughout the term that will involve problem solving, design and basic engineering techniques as it relates to manufacturing engineering. Students normally work a 12-week period and are provided with specific, meaningful, and measurable goals.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • 3D Modeling projects related to presentation of production components
  • Maintaining and managing multiple FDM 3D printers.
  • Performs trouble shooting and problem solving
  • Works to gain overall knowledge and proficiencies with Aerospace specifications and regulations
  • Develop manufacturing aids or fixtures
  • Assists Product Engineers with managing and execution of projects
  • Update and maintain various documents used in the manufacturing process
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications

Education: High School Diploma/GED Required. Good standing in College of Engineering

Years' Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience

Skills:

  • Actively pursuing an engineering degree at an accredited university Interest in manufacturing and aerospace
  • Strong word processing and/or data entry skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong work ethics and ability to drive tasks to completion
  • Basic understanding of 3D modeling and 3D printing
