Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Property Patrol in Olive Branch, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and/or emergency services, and deliver customer service with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, loading docks, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify irregular conditions.
  • Control access at entrances and gated points by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in, and directing deliveries to designated receiving locations.
  • Respond to alarms, reports of suspicious activity, spills, odors, and/or other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site contacts and/or emergency services as required by post orders.
  • Complete shift activity reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations and/or concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
