As a Security Officer - Armed Detention Center Perm Hospital in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor screening. You will respond to alarms and calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and the public. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, monitoring visitor flow, and directing individuals to appropriate areas in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and local public responders as needed.
• Complete detailed reports for incidents, patrol activity, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and onsite stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Corrections Officer License.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
• An Armed Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
