Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Wheatfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support site personnel with clear communication and customer-focused service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an industrial location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, processing areas, and perimeter routes to help to identify unusual conditions, unsecured doors or gates, and/or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor and respond to alarms, calls for service, and reported concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Control entry and exit points by checking identification, verifying authorization, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing traffic flow when required.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
