JOB PURPOSE:

Creates First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and other dimensional inspection reports for manufactured printed circuit boards after interpreting customer drawings, specifications, and other customer requirements. You will communicate and collaborate with various other departments to gather objective evidence needed to create and submit FAIR reports. You will work with minimal day to day supervision upon completion of company Quality and Safety training. Navigates internal company software and database systems to gather information. Accurately completes First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) and other dimensional inspection reports. Interprets drawings, specifications, customer requirements

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Works effectively with and communicates with various departments, including: Front End Engineering, Production Control, Manufacturing, QC Inspection, and Delegated Source Inspection.


  • Summarizes and communicates potential areas of non-conformances to Quality and/or Manufacturing management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Reads and interprets complex engineering drawings, assembly drawings, blueprints,Bills of Material (BOM), and specifications.
  • Applies foundational knowledge ofGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)to interpret drawing callouts.
  • Performs receiving inspection on incoming purchased components and raw materials.
  • Documents all non-conformances found during inspection, issues non-conforming material reports (NCMRs), and segregates defective parts.
  • Applies final QC approval (stamps, labels, stickers) only to verified, conforming products in strict adherence to company policy.
  • Maintains accurate and detailed inspection logs and reports in the quality system.
  • Interfaces with Production and Engineering teams to clearly communicate quality issues.


Education and Experience:



  • Associate Level or Certificate in related field
  • 2-4 years related experience in Quality including, 1-2 yearsprevious FAI experience; 1-2yearsprint Reading experience
  • Good understanding of ISO9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems
  • Strong working knowledge of inspection methods including sampling plans and testing and inspection equipment
  • Ability to interpret product specifications
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently majority of the workday
  • Ability to work well as a team or with other departments when needed
  • Moderate general computer skills using MS Office products: Word, Excel, PDF

Salary Range(annual): $60,000 - $65,000 ($28.85 - $31 / hour)

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
