Job Overview:

The Ingersoll Rand compression business is looking for an Inside Sales Specialist to execute critical growth capabilities within the demand generation team. This position will report directly to the National Inside Sales Leader and will have opportunities for cross-brand/channel collaboration and development. This role is key to the organization as it will have responsibility for rapid execution of lead follow-up, qualification to positively impacts sales/bookings to end customers. By taking a customer-centric approach, we can create real value throughout the customer-buying journey and deliver an overall competitive advantage in the market. The right candidate will bring a combination of experience in: direct to end-user sales, customer service, and problem solving.

This position will join a team of inside sales representatives to achieve sales targets, revenue growth, and ensure a world-class customer experience. The role will have responsibility for contacting and qualifying inbound customer leads coming from a variety of demand generation sources (ie. Website, customer events, etc.) as well nurturing established opportunities in the sales pipeline. This role will also be involved in innovative outbound initiatives to drive growth aligned to the critical focus markets of the business.

Responsibilities:


  • Incoming end-customer leads: contact and qualify customer inquiries (leads) via demand generation efforts for warm hand-off to outside sales

  • Generate qualified opportunities for commercial teams that drive growth for the business

  • Collaborate effectively with outside sales teams and key stakeholders to ensure a frictionless buying experience as measured by Net Promoter Scores

  • Collaborate with service and sales teams to ensure a timely and effective resolution of end-user issues

  • Coordinate efforts with multiple direct team members and across indirect teams (marketing and sales/services organization)

  • Operate urgently and efficiently, prioritizing customer experience and compliance with standard work procedures

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, peers, and stakeholders.

  • Coordinate efforts with other direct team members and across indirect teams (marketing and sales organization)

  • Maintain and update customer information in Salesforce CRM



Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial compressed air sales and service organization

Preferences:


  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution, with preference in marketing, engineering, operations, business management.

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to speak to technical requirements and specifications.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure while delivering a noticeably better experience to our customers.

  • Ability to work in-office and collaborate effectively with local and remote team members.

  • Direct experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM systems is desired.

  • English fluency is required
