Job Description:

Sun Life embraces a hybrid work model that balances in-office collaboration with the flexibility of virtual work. Internal candidates are not required to relocate near an office.

The opportunity: Sun Life is seeking a collaborative, service-oriented Member Relations Consultant (MRC) to join our PinnacleCare division. In this role, you will support sales growth and retention by managing member renewals, new business invoicing, and sold case implementation from initiation through completion.

As a key partner to Sales, Relationship Managers, and Member Services leadership, the MRC ensures accurate processing, clear communication, and a seamless experience for members and internal stakeholders within a hybrid work environment.

How you will contribute:

  • Manage member renewals end to end, including invoicing, documentation, and completion
  • Support new business invoicing and sold case implementation activities
  • Own renewal results for an assigned block of business, contributing to persistency and growth targets
  • Track and maintain accurate renewal data to ensure timely delivery to the market
  • Coordinate sold case materials and ensure all required documentation is complete
  • Serve as a primary contact for member and agent inquiries related to renewals and new sales
  • Build strong partnerships with Sales, Relationship Managers, Accounts Receivable, and Member Services teams
  • Communicate with Accounting to confirm receipt of payments and resolve invoicing issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation within CRM and related systems
  • Set clear expectations and collaborate proactively to identify risks, opportunities, and solutions throughout the renewal lifecycle

What you will bring with you:

  • Ability to work with a diverse range of people
  • 3+ years of experience in relationship, account, or customer management; healthcare or insurance experience preferred
  • Ability to understand and explain membership contracts, plan options, and administrative policies
  • Strong customer focus with excellent relationship-building skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with strong attention to detail and math aptitude
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Flexible, collaborative mindset with a continuous improvement focus

Salary:

$58,800-$88,200

Your actual base salary will be determined based on your unique skills, qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location. In addition to your base salary, this position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award based on your individual performance as well as the overall performance of the business.
