POSITION SUMMARY

The Associate Manager of Global Alliance & Strategy collaborate with the team to support key strategic partners and corporate initiatives. This position requires a strong collaborative approach in an effort to support both internal stakeholders and external partnerships.

The Associate Manager of Global Alliance & Strategy will be involved in both global and cross divisional engagements that require a balance of global opportunities with strategic regional focus when appropriate. This role may at times support internal alignment among Sony teams, or a mix of internal and external engagements. The Associate Manager of Global Alliance & Strategy will generally operate with minimal direction, but should also acknowledge the need for help. This position at times may have tight deadlines, and but also presents a somewhat entrepreneurial environment.

This position is designed as a hybrid role with the team's offices located in Culver City, CA at the Sony Pictures Studios.

This is a fixed term role anticipated to start in May 2026 with an anticipated duration of 8-10 months.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support collaboration with key strategic partners; this includes supporting engagements in a multi-disciplined approach while being proactive and reactive to balance engagements.

  • Support strategic initiatives based on company strategy, individual company strategy and strategic insight from both internal and external stakeholders

  • Initiate, consolidate and develop strategic and executive briefing documents

  • Capture and distribute meeting notes, action items, and track progress weekly/monthly

  • Work alongside the team in maintaining records, files, meeting coordination and other support requirements

  • Perform other duties as assigned Honesty, trustworthiness and ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined above

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

Your qualifications and experience should include:

  • BS/BA Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field

  • Minimum 6 years of related work experience within the electronics, entertainment, gaming or other technology industry

  • Experience working with external partners and strategic opportunity evaluation

  • Demonstrated experience with cross functional alignment of internal teams and external companies

  • Strong teamwork skills with a history of getting buy-in from a broad set of stakeholders

  • Proven track record of handling multiple projects from inception to final delivery and managing the need at times to close out projects

  • Strong strategic, "out of the box" thinking, attention to detail, and analytical skills.

  • Experience working on complex multi-time zone projects

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Proficiency within Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA

Preferred

  • Consulting firm experience

  • Experience creating business plans, business proposals, executive briefing documents or other types of planning documentation

  • Involvement in product development including but not limited to consumer electronics, content service, or consumer packaged goods

  • Previous work experience in engineering, software development and/or other technical field

  • Proven track record of driving revenue generation or consumer engagement

  • Experience reviewing, understanding and negotiating business and technical contracts

  • Experience in the electronics and entertainment industry

  • Experience quickly and effectively becoming a subject matter expert in a new technology or industry

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $125,000 to $130,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
