What is the opportunity?

Join RBC's US Wealth Management business and help define our future through yourdirect involvement in achieving our long-term strategy. As a Business Strategy Associate you will have the opportunity to participate in the managing the end-to-end realization of our strategy by supporting the US Wealth Management executive leadership team. You will lead projects that progress our strategic priorities from inception through to implementation, own the preparation of executive-level materials, and conduct strategic deep-dives into key business initiatives that support our long-term priority roadmap.

This role will have daily interaction with executives and leaders across US Wealth Management and the broader RBC enterprise.Therefore, you will need strong financial and business analysis skills and experience, and the maturity and confidenceto interact with corporateexecutives to present your viewpoints through supportingdata, metrics and other business indicators. Candidates with experience in a large, global consulting firm, preferably within the strategy or finance practice, looking to transition to a corporate strategy role would be well suited for this opportunity.

What will you do?

  • Work directly with senior and executive leadership of US Wealth Management to define and execute against the organization's top strategic priorities
  • Manage and deliver on projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines
  • Conduct strategic deep dives into key business initiatives, producing in-depth analysis and recommendations that guide strategic planning and execution
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the business strategy and the competitive landscape, leveraging domain expertise to identify and prioritize opportunities that enhance competitive positioning and improve business and client outcomes
  • Participate in the business review process, including analyzing financial performance against business KPIs, interpreting their impact on the business, and developing insightful materials for leadership review and decision-making

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of corporate strategy, consulting, or financial planning & analysis experience, ideally within a Financial Services company
  • Ability to lead projects independently by working with multiple stakeholders with competing priorities
  • Exhibit the ability to navigate ambiguity and synthesize large amounts of information into clear materials for executive stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships at every level of the organization
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills, innate comfort with numbers, and attention to detail
  • Creative and continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills and presence; strong technical ability with PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Nice-to-have

  • Advanced degree such as an MBA
  • Prior experience in a global consulting firm

  • Prior experience working with senior level executives

The expected salary range for this particular position is $90,000-$160,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
