Electrical Engineering Intern - Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. This role provides handson experience supporting the design, development, testing, and implementation of electrical systems and components. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detailoriented, and passionate about solving complex technical problems in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of electrical circuits, systems, and components.
  • Support engineering staff in creating schematics, layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Build and test prototypes, gather data, and summarize findings for engineering review.
  • Perform troubleshooting and debugging of hardware and system issues.
  • Conduct research to support ongoing engineering projects and technology evaluations.
  • Maintain organized project files, test records, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including mechanical, software, and manufacturing.
  • Follow established safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of circuit design, electronics, and embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB, SPICE, LabVIEW, Altium, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work both independently and within a team.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

  • Experience with microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, PIC, etc.).
  • Coursework or projects involving power electronics, control systems, or signal processing.
  • Exposure to PCB layout tools.
  • Handson experience with lab test equipment: oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, etc.
  • Programming skills in Python, C/C++, or MATLAB.
