| JOB SUMMARY |
Overall checks on health and safety procedures at jobsites regionally through high level safety leadership, regulatory oversight, and operational support across multiple projects, sites, and facilities within an assigned region. This role ensures consistent implementation of company safety standards, compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, and ongoing improvement of safety performance.

| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
- Minimum Three to Five years construction safety experience or equivalent combinations of training and related experience and/or BCSP certification.

| KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES |
- Civil Construction experience preferred.
- Knowledge of all federal, state, local, and company safety guidelines, rules and regulations required.
- Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures is essential.
- Must have safe driving record and a valid driver's license according to legal requirements.
- Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule.
- Knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is important.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational and supervisory skills are particularly important.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

| JOB RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting Everus Critical Success Factors.
- Enforce ESI company safety policies, promoting a consistent, disciplined safety culture across all projects.
- Interpret and apply OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Stop or direct the stoppage of work when imminent danger exists.
- Require corrective actions, assign accountability, and escalate unresolved issues to the Safety Director.
- Review incident reports, near-miss reports, investigations, and safety metrics with Safety Director.
- Monitor high risk activities and current safety alerts or regulatory updates.
- Prioritize site visits, audits, and support activities, and communicate expectations to site-level safety staff and leadership, documenting them on SiteDocs to review.
- Provide daily oversight to multiple active sites and conduct audits, inspections, or virtual reviews.
- Ensure site compliance with OSHA 1926, OSHA 1910, and NFPA 70E standard.
- Implement and maintain company safety policies & procedures.
- Review and approve site specific safety plans and evaluate safety programs, hazard analyses, and permit processes.
- Ensure alignment between operational needs and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct event investigations and assist in the HPI (human performance improvement techniques) process and driving field understanding.
- Conduct or partner in property damage and personal injury investigations.
- Conduct incident investigation training for frontline managers.
- Communicate all unplanned events to corporate Safety Director, regardless of severity. Participate in developing corrective action plans to prevent similar events.
- In case of emergencies, you must be willing to answer your phone 24/7.
- Ensure OSHA reporting and recordkeeping requirements (29 CFR 1904) are met.
- Analyze trends, identify systemic issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide daily coaching and guidance to Site Safety Managers and Coordinators.
- Establish performance expectations and support onboarding and development of safety personnel.
- Promote a consistent, disciplined safety culture across all projects.
- Ensure all safety personnel maintain required certifications and training.
- Verify competency of safety personnel and field leadership.
- Assist the Safety Director in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through interface with project management/supervisory/field personnel.
- Document all incidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions/activities, and report accordingly.
- Provide regional safety performance reports and communicate lessons learned.
- Participate in planning meetings to review upcoming work and assess safety impacts.
- Review daily site reports, safety observations, and progress on corrective actions.
- Must be willing to present safety topics in front of large groups.
- Inspect construction crews for compliance according to company specific safety policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as all federal state and local agencies guidelines.
- Train or arrange training for construction crews in various safety topics, safe work practices, procedures, and techniques.
- Conduct ESI New Hire Safety Orientation
- Teach or participate in the Smith Driver's Training for all company drivers.
- Accompany OSHA safety and health compliance officers on walk through tours as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
