Job Description




As a Security Guard - Neighborhood Patrol Rounds in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and respond to service calls with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and supporting medical and/or facility personnel as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including interior corridors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials when applicable, monitoring authorized access routes, and documenting access activity per site requirements.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift turnover communication, and promptly report hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or unusual activity through established channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
