Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business/Functional Analyst for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is part of an exciting new Strategic Subledger Program to create a new subledger for our client. The ideal candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert, creating and maintaining business requirements in partnership with business and technology teams, and owning the functional delivery from end to end.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain business requirements (functional & technical) in partnership and collaboration with the business and obtain sign-off
• Create functional solutions, conduct FSD walk-throughs, and obtain sign-off
• Act as an SME in various capacities and identify product development opportunities
• Work with developers to ensure correct understanding of requirements and own the functional delivery end-to-end
• Define testing requirements together with the QA team
• Build and maintain a strong relationship with business, project management, and stakeholders to ensure alignment
• Establish and operate within the governance structure for the program, and manage/escalate issues and risks
• Contribute to the design and development of the project-level roadmap
• Work with data sourcing to source and validate data completeness from acquisition to report delivery
• Work with Stakeholders during UAT to ensure reports meet requirements and all deliveries are signed-off

Requirements:

• 6+ years of professional experience with at least 3+ years as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst
• Understanding of the Finance functions within a bank including subledger, ledgers, and financial reporting
• Experience with Informatica, SQL, and Tableau
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work across multiple business groups and domains
• Experience building high-performance, enterprise applications at scale
• Attention to detail and self-starter, with an ability to identify risks and issues and suggest improvements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure
• Collaborative, with an ability to share information, transfer knowledge, and train new team members
• Excellent communication, negotiation, networking, and influencing skills

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
