The Opportunity: The Marketing & Communications Associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support and elevate Member communications and the overall Club experience at Willowbend. This role will lead social media, sales supporting efforts, community outreach, and member communications for the Club.

This Club-based onsite position works closely with, and reports to, the Assistant General Manager of Renaissance on a day-to-day basis and is an active member of the onsite operations team, while at the same time having a reporting relationship with the Corporate Marketing Manager and working closely with the entire corporate marketing team.



Duties and Functions

Marketing

* Partner with Corporate Marketing Manager, CMO, and Creative Director to align messaging and branding efforts across all channels and ensure consistency with the Club's brand identity.

* Strategize and nurture a compelling brand narrative/voice that resonates with all target demographics across social media, website, member app, digital signage, and other communications channels.

* Partner with and be an extension of the Southworth Corporate Marketing team to assist with all communication for the Club across multiple platforms (social media, internal email, member website, Club mobile app, push notifications, digital signage, etc.).

* Serve as the primary onsite Club contact to the corporate marketing team and act as project manager for the execution of Member materials and onsite collateral, including menus and event materials. Attend weekly Marketing team calls and other relevant meetings.

* Collaborate with Corporate Marketing Manager, Content Creator, and Digital Director on the management of owned channels - website, member app, email, and social - auditing user experience frequently to ensure optimization.

* Collaborate with Corporate Marketing Manager and Assist GM/Membership Director on all prospect-facing marketing - emails, direct mail, sales materials, etc.

* Collaborate with Corporate Marketing and Director of Catering and Events in the outbound marketing of weddings and events at Renaissance. Partner with Director of Catering and Events to obtain weddings and events content (video/photography) from brides and event clients to be utilized for marketing of weddings and events

* Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices to optimize strategies and tactics.

* Manage creative marketing assets needed for membership sales and communications across digital, web, social, print, gifting programs, and onsite collateral.

Social Media & Content Creation

* Promote and build the Club's brand and reputation by creating content that brings the Club's story to life while following brand and communications guidelines.

* Create compelling content (website copy, blog posts, email, newsletters, and social media) to raise awareness, build community, and engage potential members. Capture daily content of member events, activities, culinary offerings, and experiences.

* Utilize videography and photography skills to showcase the beauty and lifestyle of the Club.

* Manage Club social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) to increase awareness, followers, and engagement.

* Assist with photoshoots and larger third-party brand shoots, in addition to personally creating content.

* Track and manage photo and video assets in partnership with the Corporate Marketing Manager and Creative Director.

Club Member Communications

* Collaborate with Club operations to create member messaging in line with the Club brand.

* Drive revenue and member spend through promotions of events, activities, and offerings via communications channels.

* Regularly update websites and the member mobile app with new information.

* Partner with operations teams to develop effective communication plans for events.

* Support Membership Sales team with new member onboarding and community welcoming initiatives.

* Foster strong relationships with Members through professional communication and exceptional interpersonal skills.

* Assist with inbound member communications, directing inquiries to appropriate departments and supporting response efforts.

PR & Community Relations

* Support community engagement initiatives and partnerships with local businesses, purveyors, and influencers.

* Host media tours as needed and prepare colleagues for media appearances, articles, and activities.

* Document and share earned media coverage across Club channels, including website, social media, email, and app.

Qualification Standards

* Private club and/or hospitality background preferred.

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

* 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or content creation, preferably in hospitality, outdoor, golf, or sports industry with a proven track record of successful campaigns.

* Exceptional videography and photography skills, including proficiency with GoPro cameras and mobile editing apps.

* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, etc.).

* Strong storytelling, copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills.

* Social media management experience, with familiarity in brand voice engagement. Experience with Loomly or other management programs a plus.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, Canva, HubSpot, Monday, MailChimp, etc.).

* Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast paced environment.

* Collaborative team player able to work across functions.

* Flexible schedule to capture content during events, weekends, and special occasions.

* Comfortable engaging with Members and guests to capture authentic content.

* Must speak, read, and communicate fluently in English.

* Availability required for evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.



The Marketing & Communications Associate plays a key role in shaping the Member experience and ensuring the Club's brand is represented consistently and authentically. This position requires creativity, strong communication skills, and a passion for hospitality to foster meaningful connections, elevate the Club experience, and drive Member engagement.
