    Location: Community Education

    Scheduled Hours/Days: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

    Qualifications:

    -Evidence of successful related work or educational experience, or future desire to work in recreation field

    -Proof of excellent communication and human relations skills

    -Proof of excellent decision-making and problem solving skills

    -Ability to supervise part-time staff and program participants

    -Ability to be flexible, creative, courageous, and authoritative when needed

    -Ability to self-initiate and manage personal daily schedule

    -Willingness to work evenings as needed

    -Must be age 18 to apply

    Pay Rate/Range: $17.18 - $18.51/hr.

    Compensation/Benefits/Perks: This position is not eligible for benefits.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform general office functions; emailing, mailings, phone calls, printer/copier, weather cancellations, etc.
    • Organize and handle staff paperwork and schedules
    • Seek donations from Northfield organizations
    • Apply for applicable grants and complete grant follow-up paperwork
    • Support staff with on-site needs (equipment, updated rosters, timesheets, supplies, questions)
    • Assist recreation coordinator with program and staff evaluations, follow-up meetings, and wrap-up meetings
    • Attend the Concerts in the Park Series on Wednesday evenings to take photos and provide administrative support to the Northfield Library staff.
    • Capture photos and videos of each recreation program, post on social media, and help develop marketing videos
    • Move large amounts of recreation equipment as needed
    • Support program supervisors and staff with on-site coach training if applicable to personal strengths
    • Perform other duties as assigned by recreation coordinator
