Virtual Express Care - Behavioral Healthis avirtualondemand behavioral health service embedded within a broader virtual urgent/express care model. Its core mission is to providerapid, lowbarrier access to highquality psychiatric assessment and treatment, often for patients who would otherwise face long wait times or difficulty navigating traditional outpatient systems. Care is delivered via synchronous video visits, integrated with health system workflows,Epic EHR, and referral pathways for higher levels of care when needed.

Opportunity Details:

  • Provide direct patient care for Virtual ExpressCare Behavioral Health service with an Urgent Care scope of practice. Patient care will be conducted through audio-visual and audio-only mediums.
  • Demonstrateadvanced knowledge in treating mental health conditions and substance use disorders (SUD) in assessing patients/families in need of behavioral health treatment, including mental health and substance use assessment and treatment including medication management such as Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), mental status examination, diagnostic evaluation, and management of mental health and SUDs utilizing harm reduction and motivational interviewing techniques.
  • Demonstratecrisis intervention techniques, including emergency crisis management and verbal de-escalation techniques.
  • Documentand filefindings, interventions, and plans in the patient Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Assistto improve care delivery through the participation in performance improvement (PI) and quality improvement (QI) projects.
  • Attendand participatein staff meetings, facility-wide projects, in-services, and trainings.
Qualifications
  • Completion of 3,600 hours of qualifying NP practice as required by NYS law to practice independently.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers certification.
  • Valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the New York State Department of Education.
  • Certification by a national certifying organization, such as the ANCC or equivalent, is required within 12 months of employment.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certifiedas a Nurse Practitioner.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $141,500* based on 40-hour work week.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $155,650**,which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
  • Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 3x your salary (up to a maximum of $250,000) provided at no cost to you.
