Senior Development Associate

Manages patient acquisition data as part of overall fundraising strategy. Works as a team member to manage data integrity, prospect development, processing of donations, gift acknowledgements and financial reporting.

• 1. Leads and directs activities to insure timely and accurate submission of financial reports, donor data analysis, and requirements for all donors are met. This includes but is not limited to gift processing, mailing lists, spreadsheets, etc.
• 2. Manages grateful patient data and prospect research.
• 3. Produces reports using strong problem solving and analytical skills as required by the Foundation
• 4. Provide accurate and timely financial reports on Foundation activities to Finance Department. This includes completion of 990 reports and all others as required.
• 5. Actively participates in all Foundation activities including but not limited to providing creative/innovative ideas and feedback at weekly staff and operational meetings, continuous improvement of methods, processes, and communications with donors and internal constituents.
• 6. Provide exceptional customer service to all donors, colleagues, and internal constituents. Complete all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

High school diploma required. Associates degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Five (5)+ years in a fast-paced donor-centric fundraising environment with three (3)+ years specific experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge web-based fundraising program and financial processes required. Experience utilizing and managing web-based programs to advance performance of special events and donor activities.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills. Must be accurate and detailed oriented, possess strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing priorities in a complex environment. Must have strong understanding of banking systems and financial reporting as it relates to the operational requirements of Foundation activities. Must be proficient in web based programming and reporting including but not limited to Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge, Luminate Online, and Crystal Reports. Must work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Must clearly understand Hospital and system strategies for fundraising priorities.

PHYSICAL DEMAND

While performing duties of this job, employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. They are required to stand and walk. They must occasionally life or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Incumbents as well as external or internal candidates who become disabled must be ab le to perform essential job functions with or without assistance of reasonable accommodation as determined on a case by case basis.
