We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for building, maintaining, and modifying molds and tooling while holding tight tolerances and working to high quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities

  • Perform your own CNC setups and machine aluminum and steel to tight tolerances
  • Operate manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, saws, and other standard machine shop equipment
  • Build molds from start to finish using 3D models and engineering data
  • Maintain, repair, and modify existing tooling
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and shop standards
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to support project completion
  • Maintain accurate documentation and tooling records using strong organizational skills


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a wax investment or plastic injection mold maker
    (Advanced applied machinery courses or technical school may be considered in lieu of experience)
  • Ability to use CAD/CAM software to create complex tool paths and NC programs for vertical 3axis CNC machines
  • Experience with Siemens NX (version 7.5 or higher) preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to hold tight dimensional tolerances
  • Proficiency with computers and common software programs

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
