Job Title

CPFR Manager, Supply Chain

Location

Role Summary

Own Collaborative Planning, Forecasting & Replenishment (CPFR) with strategic customers to improve on-shelf availability, reduce out-of-stocks and inventory, and drive customer-facing service KPIs. Lead joint business planning, build customer-aligned forecasts, orchestrate replenishment health, and deliver continuous improvement through analytics, root-cause actioning, and cross-functional influence.

Key Responsibilities

CPFR Ownership & Customer Engagement

  • Lead weekly & Monthly CPFR cycles with assigned customers: demand alignment, order projection, inventory positioning, risk/opportunity management.
  • Facilitate Joint Business Planning (JBP) and handshakes across Sales, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Customer fulfillment teams.
  • Run retailer line reviews: promo/event ladders, assortment transitions, resets, seasonal/launch readiness, and exit planning.
  • Build and maintain collaborative forecasts using retailer POS, inventory, and forecast signals, reconciling with internal consensus demand.

KPI Delivery & Continuous Improvement

  • Own customer-facing KPI targets: Fill Rate, On-Time/In-Full (OTIF), In-Stock %, On-Shelf Availability (OSA), Forecast Accuracy (MAPE/bias), Weeks of Supply (WOS) and Inventory Turns.
  • Establish KPI governance: weekly dashboards, variance analysis, root cause classification (supply, demand, logistics, master data, execution), and corrective action plans.
  • Drive master data integrity (item/store/DC), order parameters (MOQ, lead time, min/max), safety stock and pack logic optimization.

Analytics & Tooling

  • Build automated dashboards and exception-based alerts (e.g., OSA gaps, phantom inventory, late/lost POs, demand spikes, DC constraints).
  • Convert insights into quantified actions (e.g., PO pulls/pushes, allocation, ship window adjustments, planogram/pallet configuration changes).
  • Partner with IT/Analytics to evolve data pipelines (POS, EDI 852/850, iDOCs, ASN 856, inventory, store/DC data, lead times).

Launches, Promotions & Events

  • Orchestrate promo/event demand lift models, pre-builds, allocation logic, and recovery plans; reconcile retailer and internal lift assumptions.
  • Lead CPFR readiness for new product introductions (NPIs): item setup, DC fill, store distribution, and sell-thru ramp; track launch KPIs.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Influence senior stakeholders to resolve constraints (capacity, materials, transport, allocation).
  • Create customer playbooks and "lessons learned" to scale best practices across accounts and channels.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years in Customer Supply Chain, Replenishment, Demand Planning, or CPFR (CPG, retail, or eCommerce).
  • Demonstrated success improving fill, OTIF, OSA, and forecast accuracy with a major retailer or marketplace.
  • Strong analytics: Excel/Sheets (advanced), SQL or Python a plus; experience with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau).
  • Hands-on with retail portals/data.
  • Working knowledge of EDI (852/850/855/856), S&OP/S&OE, inventory policies, and replenishment parameters.
  • ERP/APS exposure (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis etc.)
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to lead cross-functional forums.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPFR certification or APICS/ASCM (CPIM/CSCP/CLTD).
  • Experience designing KPI governance and exception-management workflows.
  • Category resets, seasonal build strategies, and promotion effectiveness measurement.
  • Familiarity with OSA/computer vision audits, phantom inventory remediation, and store execution levers.
  • Experience negotiating supply/logistics constraints with customers.

Core Competencies

  • Customer-Centric Problem Solving - turns POS and operational noise into prioritized actions.
  • Analytical Rigor - bias/variance analysis, cohorting (by DC/region/SKU), scenario modeling, sensitivity to lead time and MOQ.
  • Execution & Accountability - closes the loop from insight action measured impact.
  • Systems Thinking - understands upstream/downstream impacts (factory DC store end customer).
