Role Snapshot

The Internship Program with WPS Health Solutions is comprised of two key components. The first component involves gaining practical experience to supplement academic coursework and prepare for future career pursuits. This will be comprised of a hands-on role within a functional area related to a relevant field of study. Each internship incorporates responsibilities and tasks which support the business objectives and client service offerings, while providing ongoing collaboration with experienced departmental colleagues and exposure to "real world" business demands. The second element centers on exposure to corporate culture and professional development. Interns will participate in discussions focused on building soft-skills and business acumen. This intern will gain hands-on experience in the recruiting process, assist with the coordination of candidate communication, and support the development and execution of recruiting workflows. This internship provides an opportunity to work closely with a dynamic team, learn key aspects of talent acquisition, and help streamline the recruiting process for future talent acquisition efforts. You will contribute to the recruiting process, from understanding hiring needs to ensuring smooth candidate interactions, while learning the skills and practices that drive successful recruiting strategies.

Start Date: June 2026
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00/hour.

The base pay rate offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Hybrid Work Location



  • This position will be hybrid, having the regional availability to come into our Office two days a week. Our office location: WPS Corporate Center Building - 1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI.
  • Onsite work will be tailored for team cohesion, strategy, planning and collaboration.


In this role you will:



  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and streamlining recruiting workflows. Manage candidate communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to understand open positions, refine job descriptions, and identify key skills and qualities for successful candidates.
  • Support the evaluation of candidates' alignment with the company's core values (e.g., Accountability, Determination, Curiosity, Authenticity) during recruitment stages.
  • Manage candidate outreach, screening, and follow-up to ensure a positive experience from initial contact through interviews.
  • Assist with tracking recruiting metrics, generating reports, and identifying trends to improve the recruitment process.

Minimum Qualifications



  • Be currently pursuing a degree in higher education or recent graduate.
  • Have experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).


Preferred Qualifications



  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications or related field.
  • Experience with ATS or other recruitment software is a plus.
